Chandler, Arizona • Inside MDE Athletics
Chill, community-focused Brazilian jiu jitsu for kids and adults in Chandler. We train hard, keep it welcoming, and push each other to get better.
What we train
Desert Boa is built around community, self defense, discipline, respect, and steady improvement. New students can ask questions, experienced students get pushed, and everyone helps raise the level of the room.
Coach
Joao Camilo is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt and former MMA fighter who loves teaching his skills, helping new students build confidence, and creating a strong community on the mats.
Monday through Thursday at 6pm, focused on posture, escapes, guard work, passing, and submissions.
Friday at 6pm, with technical drilling and live training for students who want sharper grappling.
Kids classes are offered for young students to build confidence, discipline, movement, and self defense.
First class
Your first class is simple: bring water, athletic clothes, and a good attitude. If you have a gi, bring it Monday through Thursday. Friday is no-gi.
Arizona home
MDE Athletics gives the program a strong home base: easy parking, strength-and-conditioning energy, and a clean space where the team can train hard without losing the community feel.
